Provide high quality training in fundraising

International conferences

Every year the Resource Alliance organises two international training events including our flagship event the International Fundraising Congress (IFC) in Holland. Established for over 26 years, the event attracts over 900 participants mainly from Europe and North American. In addition to the Congress, we organise the International Workshop on Resource Mobilisation (IWRM) aimed at the global South, taking place in a different developing world country each year.

Regional workshops

We also support our partners who run a number of regional and national workshops every year.

Courses

We have successfully established post-graduate training courses in resource mobilisation covering fundraising, communications and management for civil society organisations. The courses have been set up in India, Kenya and Malaysia, Switzerland and Colombia. We run all our courses in partnership with universities and business schools.

Consultancy

The Resource Alliance provides bespoke training and consultancy support to individual organisations using a global network of experienced fundraisers.

In 2006 we provided over 40,000 ‘person hours’ of training and education to fundraisers from more than 60 countries. By 2010 we aim to provide in excess of 120,000 person hours of training and to reach people from more than 80 countries.
