Fundraising and Communications course
The voluntary sector in Russia is increasingly facing new challenges. The growing needs and aspirations of beneficiaries and the ever-changing funding environment has made NGOs realise that they need to be more dynamic and innovative.
Presently a very large number of organisations are dependent on foreign funding agencies or international NGOs for their resources. These agencies concentrate more on projects that are a priority of the funder rather than their organisation. Their continued dependence and sustainability is in question which can be addressed by professionally mobilising resources from the local communities. This would also enhance the organisations credibility, accountability and transparency within the communities they exist and serve.
The goal of the Fundraising and Communications course is to develop skills of the employees of non-profit organizations in the area of fundraising, through the active use of their previous professional experience and by successful completion of tasks and projects during the course. At the end of the programme students will have gained knowledge of the techniques of resource mobilisation, and will be able to develop and implement a resource mobilisation plan.
Eligibility requirements:
- University diploma
- Russian language knowledge
- Working experience in an NGO for not less than 6 months
The course is run in partnership with the Foundation for the Development of Non-governmental
Organizations "NGO School" and the Moscow School of Social and Economic Sciences.
